Shipping Protection

The Shipping Protection feature allows you to offer an optional protection service that customers can add to their order directly from the cart.

This service typically covers:

  • Lost packages
  • Damaged items
  • Delivery issues

It can be used as an additional paid add-on to increase trust and revenue.

Feature Status

At the top of the section:

  • Enabled → Shipping protection is available in the cart
  • Disabled → The option is hidden

Shipping Protection Setup

Select Product

You must select a product that will act as the shipping protection service.

This product will be:

  • Added to the cart when selected
  • Treated as an additional item (service fee)

How It Works

  1. The customer adds products to the cart
  2. The shipping protection option appears
  3. The customer can choose to add it
  4. The selected product is added as a service item

Important Notes

  • Requires a properly configured product in Shopify
  • The product represents the protection fee
  • Visibility depends on cart conditions and setup
