Shipping Protection
The Shipping Protection feature allows you to offer an optional protection service that customers can add to their order directly from the cart.
This service typically covers:
- Lost packages
- Damaged items
- Delivery issues
It can be used as an additional paid add-on to increase trust and revenue.
Feature Status
At the top of the section:
- Enabled → Shipping protection is available in the cart
- Disabled → The option is hidden
Shipping Protection Setup
Select Product
You must select a product that will act as the shipping protection service.
This product will be:
- Added to the cart when selected
- Treated as an additional item (service fee)
How It Works
- The customer adds products to the cart
- The shipping protection option appears
- The customer can choose to add it
- The selected product is added as a service item
Important Notes
- Requires a properly configured product in Shopify
- The product represents the protection fee
- Visibility depends on cart conditions and setup
